This is the art blog of Sheridan College animation student Vanessa Stefaniuk, who is currently in her third year of studies. This blog contains silliness of all levels, and may include a generous helping of eye candy and animation.
Wish I had the time to ramble, but I have to make this quick in order to get back to working on the group film. The following is a concept art poster made for my fourth year film, as part of our third year story class to get us thinking about our thesis.

Also, here is a [very shoddy] story reel done for music class. Since we’re not marked on the usual continuity and story content, I had a field day just doing fun shots. Enjoy!
Princess and the Pea to “Fossils” by the French Romantic composer Camille Saint-Saëns
School’s been extremely busy, especially with this film! But here is a bit of experimentation on my part: cut out style! I’ve become recently fascinated by this method of portraiture that I even tested it out on my group film’s characters (granted, they do not look the same in this style as they will in the film, but I was also colour testing, so it wasn’t a compleeeete waste of time).
I’ve also applied to a good deal of fantastic studios, and am extremely excited to hear back from them. (Hello if you’ve found your way to my blog for that reason!) My portfolio website, which is more bluntly organized than this one, can be found here:
Expect a website layout rehaul for this blog as soon as it’s humanly possible. I’m really despising this one, but I can’t find any Wordpress templates I want to modify.
This is my 24 hr animation, from back in first semester of third year when Ashlyn ran Manimation Film Fest! I recently cleaned up and coloured, traditionally with ink, this. Here’s the final product. I hope it’s textural and unique.
I’ll have more for you guys soon! Including maybe a new layout! Question - should I get rid of the blog aspect and make this purely a portfolio site? Or just simplify the organization of the website so it’s easier to navigate?
